Hello dolls J
In today’s blog as I had mentioned in last week’s post I will be sharing with
you four different diy’s. Two of which I have created during the year and felt
like I should share it with you guys and the last two which I made in the last
couple of weeks. I hope that you like this post as I really had fun making
these diy’s.
The first diy is pretty simple yet so cool. What you will
need for this diy is a glow in the dark nail polish which I purchased from
Essence for a very good price and a poster with writings on it. Simply, go over
the writings with the glow in the dark nail polish twice and let it do its magic
at night time J.

This diy is also very easy and very affordable. For this diy
one will need a magazine with pictures, scissors and painter tape. Start by
first drawing heart shapes on the magazines, then use your scissors to cut the
heart forms. Fold the hearts symmetrically and stick them on the wall using
painter tape and voila done. What I did instead as a substitute I used heart
shaped sticky heart shapes instead of using a magazine which also made my wall
look more outstanding but do as you wish.
For this diy you will need a pillowcase J I chose the colour
purple as it matches my curtains but any colour will do J , you will also need a hot
glue gun and pompoms. Use the hot glue
gun to stick the pompoms by placing them directly on the pillowcase. Press the
pompoms slightly for a couple of minutes to allow them to stick well to the
pillowcase and that’s it J
easy as that .
This diy is more time consuming next to the others above but it was so fun
to make and I loved the end results ! So for this diy you will need another
pillowcase ( I went with a black pillowcase this time) different coloured yarn,
a needle, scissors and more pompoms. So for this diy one can either make yarn
pompoms or else do what I did. I only used a bit of yarn and stuck the yarn to
the ready made pompoms which I bought from a local shop. Create the yarn
pompoms a cardboard or a fork. Using a fork is so much easier in fact I switched after the first round from using a cardboard to a fork. For small pom poms, wrap the yarn around the fork for about
20 times while for fuller pom poms wrap
the yarn for about 60 times. Cut the
yarn and hold the wrap in place. Cut another piece of yarn ( 7cm long is about
right) and thread it through the bottom of the fork from back to front. Pull
the thread from underneath the wrap and back over the top until the ends of the
yarn meet. Tie them together and remove slowly the wrap from the fork and pull
tightly the knot. Eventually the wrap will begin to curl, take your scissors
and put them under the loops created. Cut the loops and cut any extra yarn
which is sticking out.
As I mentioned before, I only used a small amount of yarn therefore I
had to stick a pompom to the yarn using a hot glue gun.
Last step to
complete this diy is to pass the yarn through the needle and thread it onto the
pillow case twice and secure it with a double knot . Keep repeating this
process to complete your diy J
I hope that you
guys liked this post !! Let me know in the comments below which one is your
favourite diy . Until next time !
Love,
Sher xoxo
