Eventbrite, Our Travel Experience and Travel Guide

Hey dolls, welcome back. Today we have another traveling post for you guys. Eventbrite (the largest self-service ticketing platform in the world that helps people find and plan event) has inspired us to write this blog post today to help them spread the message of beating #FOMO. In case you don't know what the abbreviation is, it stands for fear of missing out. We want to replace this with #GOMO - going out more often. FOMO happens when we spend our time at home, or on the internet instead of going out and enjoying the outside world. You can #GOMO this summer by checking out Eventbrite.com  and searching for events in your area. You could even create your own event and have your friends RSVP online on Eventbrite's site.  Either way be sure to get out and make new experiences and memories this summer. Don’t let this summer be a boring one indoors but make it seem like an adventure!

With this post we want to encourage you to have fun and explore.

There is no better way of doing this than traveling.

In this post we are going to be sharing with you our traveling experience, why traveling is important as well as a travel guide based on the places we visited this week.

This was our first time traveling alone so everything was new to us. Even though we had a lot of responsibility, we still managed to enjoy our vacation to the full as we planned and prepared beforehand. Not having our parents with us gave us a chance to be more independent and responsible, and in our opinion these are two important skills to have in life.
On the whole it was a great experience; traveling can give you a lot of insight on the country's language and culture. One can learn new or more interesting things and historical background of the country.

'Travel while you're young and able. Don't worry about the money, just make it work. Experience is far more valuable than money ever will be'

And now onto the travel guide. We are going to be telling you about the places we visited and the main attractions that we found to be the most interesting.

Bologna

This town is very quiet as it is mostly pedestrian, in fact one can see more people riding their bikes or walking from one destination to the other rather than driving their cars.  Bologna is known as a historic centre with its beautiful porticoed sidewalks. The narrow streets are so magical filled with cute shops on both sides which lead to the pleasant piazza Cavour. The medieval palaces are found around the two beautiful squares, which are Piazza Maggiore and Piazza Nettuno. In Piazza Maggiore, you can see the beautiful church of San Petronio and at night time in the same piazza they organise a cinema under the stars which unfortunately we could not go because it started really late but I am sure that it would have been an amazing experience.  At our disadvantage we were not able to see the fontanta di Nettuno in Piazza Nettuno as it was under construction. The two towers known as the Torri degli Asinelli e Garisenda are the main attraction in Bologna and the tower of Asinelli can be climbed to the top, that is 97 metres tall but its worth the climb at the end because the view is glorious. Nearby, there is also Piazza Santo Stefano where there is the church which is also really fascinating and inside there is the fontana di Pilato which is a very old foundation going back to the 8th century. Last and not least, we visited the Giardini Margeritha which is such a gem as it is so beautiful and so peaceful.

San Marino
This place was definitely one of our favorites. We had a lot of travelling to do but it was definitely worth it. If you get the chance to visit the place you should definitely walk around their narrow streets and check out the view as it is so beautiful . You can also visit 'Palazzo Pubblico' and you might also be lucky and manage to see the changing of the guards. Another main attraction would be the 3 towers. At the beginning we thought they would be quite far from each other but actually one just leads to another so there is time to see all of them. These are Torre Guaite, Torre Cesta, Torre Montale. As you are walking around you can also see Mount Titan, part of the breathtaking view.

Ferrara
Once you reach the city centre it will be very easy to see all the main attractions in this city. A few of the ones we saw are Castello Estense and Palazzo Municipale ,the Cathedral and the Teatro Comunale. All of these are very close to each other.  Walk along Mazzini Street, for an umbrella sky - colorful umbrellas held by a wire which is barely visible, making them seem suspended in air.
If you want to visit a park in Ferrara, Parco Massari, even if relatively small is still very beautiful.
On walk along Via Bologna there is a bridge over Po Di Volano.

Firenze
Florence is also another city with a lot of historic background behind it. It is a touristy area and many visitors head first for the Duomo as it is the most famous symbol of Florence itself. We than went to the south of Florence which led us to the Piazza della Signoria where one can see the Fontana di Nettuno, the very famous statue by Michaelangelo, David and the beautiful Roman statues found in the Loggia dei Lanzi. We also saw the fountain found in Vasacri’s courtyard and the beautiful detail on the walls. Walking towards the street of Uffizi will lead you to Ponte Vecchio which is bisected by the river Arno . From Ponte Vecchio one can see such beautiful scenery of the river and the houses nearby.
