September favourites

Hello guys I Hope that you are all doing well ;) Today I will be sharing with you my September favourites. Keep on reading!

Make up

Loving this make up brand at the moment so much !! Its animal cruelty free and a couple of make up stores have just opened maybe a bit more than a month or so. There are many colours to choose from and the price is quite convenient and affordable. Cant wait to buy a darker colour for this season

Koko K

Fran gave me this lipkit and its my first time owning a beauty product from Kylie Jenner. I really love the lipkit in general, the consistency, the scent, the matte texture and that it is very long lasting.

Fashion

Bought this skirt back in September and I wasn’t too sure if I should buy it or not . Infact I remember asking Fran if I should buy it or not and I ended up buying it. I bought the skirt for a very good price from New look, not too sure if it is still there now but you will find replicas of it for sure ;)

Jewellery

I remember seeing this necklace at berska and not having enough money for it so I had went next day to buy as I wanted it so badly and I am glad that I did buy because I wear this necklace too much.

Music video
The chainsmokers- closer ft Halsey

Been listening to this song all day everyday during the month of September. Not entirely my fault because it’s number one worldwide at the moment on Spotify .

That is it for today’s September favourites . I hope that you liked this blog post talk to you next time.

How To Go Vegan

Hey dolls today I'm going to be showing you some steps and tips on going vegan. Veganism definitely benefits animals, the environment and of course our own health, so I definitely suggest you at least consider it.
It is not something that has to happen overnight especially if you are used to eating meat, dairy and eggs. You can cut things little by little, or consider being an 80% vegan.

The first step would definitely be to educate yourself through research, documentaries, tips from fellow vegans....
Gary Yourofsky's video called The Best Speech You Will Ever Hear has some really good and eyeopening information.
You can also watch other youtube videos like  Cowspiracy, Farm To Fridge, Earthlings... As well as youtubers such as The Vegan Activist and That Vegan Couple.
For some recipe videos The Vegan Corner has some really good ones.
You can also find a ton of recipes online and on apps such as Pinterest.

After you have gathered enough research start making small changes daily towards a plant based diet. As I mentioned earlier you don't have to go vegan overnight, although some people manage to do so.
In the beginning it can take a little extra time and effort until you get used to it, but it is so worth it in the end. ( vegans save about 200 animals a year 😉 )
Veganism doesn't have to be expensive if you eat a mainly plant based whole food diet - potatoes, rice, beans and pulses, fruits and vegetables.
If you like though you can find a lot of meat and cheese replacements (these are more on the pricier side). They aren't the healthiest option but you don't have to limit yourself completely from them.

After you've altered your diet you can focus on clothes, bags, cosmetics etc
Veganism is not only about refraining from eating meat and animal products but also from using animals for clothes, shoes and bags (leather and fur) as well as not buying shampoo, lotions, make up etc from brands that test on animals.
You can find plenty of clothes, shoes and bags that still look great but that use synthetic leather and faux fur.
Make up brands such as tarte, urban decay, nyx, too faced, becca, ABH, Charlotte tilbury and many more don't test on animals.

Don't worry if you make a mistake along the way because it is not a matter of perfection. You are already making a great impact 😀
I hope that you found this post informative and useful. There is alot more to say in reality but I didn't want to make the post super long. Let me know if you want any other information or a more in depth post in the comments below and I'll talk to you next time! Have a great week lovelies

No to wildlife trafficking

Hey guys, I hope that you are having a great week so far. In today’s blog post I will be sharing with you guys about something which is of great importance to me and something that I have been from a very young age and still am till this present day very passionate about that is my love towards animals. You guys probably already have a slight idea of what I will be talking about from the title of the post but as you will see if you continue reading I will be going in more depth about the topic so please do continue reading. I will try and make it as interesting as possible

So, a couple of weeks, I received an email from change.org to help them sign a petition to stop wildlife trafficking and to raise awareness about the fact that these innocent animals are being killed for no reason. I couldn’t just ignore it and let it go past me because wildlife trafficking is wrong in so many ways. Wildlife trafficking has unfortunately became worse and worse during the years.

Tens of thousands of beautiful creatures such as apes, elephants, tigers, sharks and other animals are being slaughter every year for the wildlife trade… these animals are being bought and sold as pet food, meat, human food, cosmetics, medicine, fur, skins, trophies etc..

The Jane Goodall Institute work so hard in trying to raise awareness and in trying to stop wildlife trafficking for good however they cannot do this alone. Nowadays with such powerful platforms of social media like Facebook, twitter, Instagram .. one can easily help out to raise awareness by sharing and to spread the world to make it a better place for us , humans and the animals who need our voice. Please do help by sharing and telling your friends to stand with what the Jane Goodall Institute has been trying to do so that together we can end wildlife trafficking . Think about those poor animals who are being tortured for no reason. Lets all work together to stop this once and for all, lets stand up for what we believe in and protect these beautiful and endangered creatures from being hunted and sold as objects. These beautiful creatures need us to be their voice, they have feelings just like us 💜 and don’t they not make the world a better place with them in it? I can’t imagine a world without these beautiful creatures , they put a smile on everyone’s faces.

I beg you to please sign this petition ( found below ), it will only take you a few seconds but by doing so you would be already doing a huge impact , every vote counts and please share this and inspire others. Thank you guys I will talk to you next time.

Love,
Sherxoxo

Summer 2016 Make Up Favorites

Now that summer is officially over I wanted to share with you some of my favorite make up products which I've used this summer. I'm going to go in the order I use to apply my makeup.

Starting with primer my favorite primer this summer has definitely been the NYX Angel Veil Primer. It is oil free which is so great since my t zone gets oily throughout the day.

For Foundation I was reaching out mostly for the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. I bought this product in the beginning of the summer and I've used it alot although now I am definitely on the hunt for a cruelty free foundation.

Onto concealer; I purchased the NYX gotcha covered concealer. It's quite thick and very full coverage but still easy to blend.

I really got into baking this year and I've been using the NYX HD finishing powder. It is a white translucent powder. It really does give the face an HD finish sort of look. The only warning is that you definitely have to dust it away properly or you might end up with white patches below your eyes.

I am totally loving the contour palette by bh cosmetics. The palette is very worth it but I only really use the first shade in the second row to contour and then the banana shade to set underneath my eyes. Nonetheless I definitely recommend this palette.

No makeup look is complete without highlight. My favorite one is currently the MakeUp Revolution Blushing Hearts in the shade Iced Hearts. I also love the highlight shades in the Carli Bybel palette, especially the first two shades.

And now that we went through the face makeup it's time for the eyes and brows.

The Anastasia Brow Definer in Medium Brown is all I've been using to fill in my brows because whilst looking on fleek they still look natural.
To clean them up and make them look extra sharp I use the cream in the Make Revolution Ultra Brow Palette. You can definitely see from the photo how much I love this product.

In order to make my eye shadow pop more I use an eye shadow primer and I find the bh cosmetics smooth canvas primer in the shade malt to work so perfectly.
My go to eye shadow has been the Carli Bybel Palette. It has all of my favorite eye shadow shades and the quality is great whilst still being super affordable price wise.

For mascara I've mostly used the L'Oreal Lash Architect Mascara in the waterproof version. I really love the shape of the brush.
I'm also looking for cruelty free mascaras to try but since I had alot from before it would have been a waste to throw them out.

And now lastly for lips. My favorites this summer have all been from kylie cosmetics. For gloss my favorite is the literally gloss and for lip liners and lipsticks Dolce K and Candy K.

I hope you guys found this kind of post interesting. I kept everything quite affordable when it comes to prices. Have a great week and I'll talk to you very soon. Bye guys
Xoxo

Back To School Hacks

Unfortunately summer is coming to an end and some of you may have started school already. Today I am going to be sharing with you some tips/hacks which can hopefully help you out and make going back to school a little bit less stressful and a bit easier.

1.     Place your alarm clock/phone across the room.
Like that when the alarm goes off in the morning you have no choice but to get out of bed to switch it off. This can help you save more time in the morning so you can have a proper breakfast and have time to get ready, instead of hitting the snooze button about 3 times before getting up.

2.       Take short breaks when studying
I find it helpful to study for 50 minutes and take a 10 minute break. You can also study for 25 minutes and take a 5 minute break. Then make every third break a 5-15 minutes longer.

3.       Put your schedule as your lock screen
During the first few weeks of school, you can take a screenshot/photo of your schedule and place it as your lock screen so that you do not have take your timetable out after every lesson to see where you need to go next.  All you have to do is look at your phone.

4.       Use a study incentive
If you want to study a certain chapter place a gummy bear or any other candy you like at certain points on the page. Once you reach that part of the chapter you can have the gummy bear. Or mark your book lightly with a pencil, and once you've reached that part take one.

5.       Highlight your notebooks if they look the same
If you have a number of notebooks for different classes but they look the same use different colored highlighters to mark them on top, so they are more easily distinguished. This is easier than having to open each notebook every time to find the correct one.

6.       Study your notes on the same day
After taking notes in class, study them on the same day at home – it will make it easier to remember the content.

7.       Post it notes

Stick these where you can see them, so they will remind you what you have to do that day/week

I hope that these tips where helpful and that you enjoyed this post. Have a great week and I'll talk to you next time!

Pamper Routine/ At Home Spa Tips/Ideas

Hey dolls, welcome back. I hope that you're all doing really well. Today I'm going to be sharing with you some ideas for an at home spa. These are things I love doing as well as part of my pamper routine so I hope they can give you some inspiration.  It is important that once in a while you find time to focus on yourself and relax.

Scented Candles
Just by lighting some scented candles you can completely change the atmosphere in a room. My favorite candles are from Yankee Candles. I also love the fall candles I got from Bath and Body Works 2 years ago from America.

Music
Listen to some relaxing music, and Christmas music can also be a good idea because it's never too early to listen to Christmas music haha

Beverage
I would recommend some chamomile or green tea, or opt to have your favorite drink.

Skin Care
An exfoliator is great to get rid dead skin cells and a face mask will cleanse and soothe the skin.

Bath
I love using lush bath bombs because the colors are always so pretty and it's so de-stressing watching it fizz around the bath. Not to mention that you can look for the bath bomb that suits you because each one has certain benefits as they can target stress, anxiety and so on.....

Body Scrub
Exfoliation is not only important when it comes to our skin care routine but also the rest of our body. My favorite right now is this lush ocean salt face and body scrub. It works so well.

Hand Cream And Nail Polish
Sometimes we remember to use body lotion and forget hand cream. I got this set as a gift and they are so good, but my favorite one would have to be the last one because it smells so amazing! I don't know where you can find these exactly but you can definitely find something very similar at the body shop.
I love painting my nails after because they look so much nicer and more put together.

Foot Soak
What I like to do is take a small basin and use a small bath bomb like the lush butterball which you can see below, with warm water. Butterball is amazing because it is very moisturizing . You can also use the exfoliator in addition to that.

This brings us to the end of the post. And now it's your turn for a pamper night, you deserve it :)
I hope you enjoyed this post. Until next time, I'll talk to you guys later.

Xoxo,
Fran
