How To Go Vegan

Hey dolls today I'm going to be showing you some steps and tips on going vegan. Veganism definitely benefits animals, the environment and of course our own health, so I definitely suggest you at least consider it.
It is not something that has to happen overnight especially if you are used to eating meat, dairy and eggs. You can cut things little by little, or consider being an 80% vegan.

The first step would definitely be to educate yourself through research, documentaries, tips from fellow vegans....
Gary Yourofsky's video called The Best Speech You Will Ever Hear has some really good and eyeopening information.
You can also watch other youtube videos like  Cowspiracy, Farm To Fridge, Earthlings... As well as youtubers such as The Vegan Activist and That Vegan Couple.
For some recipe videos The Vegan Corner has some really good ones.
You can also find a ton of recipes online and on apps such as Pinterest.

After you have gathered enough research start making small changes daily towards a plant based diet. As I mentioned earlier you don't have to go vegan overnight, although some people manage to do so.
In the beginning it can take a little extra time and effort until you get used to it, but it is so worth it in the end. ( vegans save about 200 animals a year 😉 )
Veganism doesn't have to be expensive if you eat a mainly plant based whole food diet - potatoes, rice, beans and pulses, fruits and vegetables.
If you like though you can find a lot of meat and cheese replacements (these are more on the pricier side). They aren't the healthiest option but you don't have to limit yourself completely from them.

After you've altered your diet you can focus on clothes, bags, cosmetics etc
Veganism is not only about refraining from eating meat and animal products but also from using animals for clothes, shoes and bags (leather and fur) as well as not buying shampoo, lotions, make up etc from brands that test on animals.
You can find plenty of clothes, shoes and bags that still look great but that use synthetic leather and faux fur.
Make up brands such as tarte, urban decay, nyx, too faced, becca, ABH, Charlotte tilbury and many more don't test on animals.

Don't worry if you make a mistake along the way because it is not a matter of perfection. You are already making a great impact 😀
I hope that you found this post informative and useful. There is alot more to say in reality but I didn't want to make the post super long. Let me know if you want any other information or a more in depth post in the comments below and I'll talk to you next time! Have a great week lovelies

Xoxo,
Fran
