Lush Haul

Hey dolls, welcome back. Today I am back with a haul and I'm going to to showing you what I got from lush. A few months back I discovered that lush ship to us too, and I love that their products are natural as well as mostly vegan so I wanted to try out some new stuff.

The first items that I got are skin care products. Starting with the cleanser I found Herbalism, which is green and smells mostly of rosemary. I found it to work well but unfortunately I'm just not a big fan of the smell, although this might not be an issue for everyone.

The toner I picked up is the Eau Roma Water, which helps to reduce redness and softens the skin. It is also very refreshing. I'm 100% happy with this product.

For moisturizer I chose one which I thought would be suitable for combination skin and got Imperialis as it states to be the perfect all rounder. If you guys have any suggestions on what moisturiser I should use to reduce oiliness in my t zone please let me know.

Sometimes as part of my pamper routine I use a face mask and I got the blue one. I honestly chose this because it seemed the most interesting. It's called Don't Look At Me.
This is the only skin care product I haven't tried out yet because I didn't have the time for a pamper routine.

Lastly for skin care I got this Bubblegum Lip Scrub to exfoliate my lips. If you're looking to buy a lip scrub I definitely recommend this one.

And now onto body care. I got a body scrub, body lotion, shaving soap and bath bombs.

The Ocean Salt body scrub actually works wonders as I've already tried it out, but I'm not the biggest fan of the scent of it either. But that aside it is basically the best body scrub I've tried until now.

Sympathy For The Skin smells so amazing and it leaves the skin feeling so soft. It's definitely one of my favorites.

I also picked up D'Fluff which is basically a strawberry shaving soap to leave the skin feeling soft and avoid razor burn.

Lush is famous for their bath bombs and I can see why. I can't wait to use them (before my mum steals them all haha). These are the ones I got:

Yoga Bomb

Fizzbanger

Dragon's Egg

Think Pink

Tisty Tosty

Sex Bomb

Butter Ball

Twilight

This is the end of the haul; I hope that you enjoyed it. Let me know if you want to see a pamper routine soon in the comments below and comment which lush bath bomb is your favorite. I'll talk to you guys next time!

Fran

Packing Tips

Hello dolls, I hope that you are all doing well. Today’s blog post is part of the travelling series which Fran and I are posting at the moment. In this post I will be sharing with you some tips on how not to over pack and what to take, basically the travel essentials.

First remember that packing lightly saves a lot of time and money. To fit all your essentials into a luggage one would need to bring very little and if done correctly, one can easily take a back pack or/and a small hand luggage. Plan what you are going to take and what you are going to wear beforehand based on the number of days. Always remember to check the weather as well and ask yourself if something is worth taking for example if you’d rather take four pairs of shorts and six tops or if two pairs of shorts is enough. Think mostly in terms of layers rather than taking heavy jackets or coats because the weather at times can change drastically and the fabric which you would have carried would be for nothing.

For toiletries, take only a few, just to get started and then one can easily buy from the airport, a station or even a local shop. They are very easy to find and it’s not worth the time worrying if you have more liquids than you should and etc. If you are going to a hotel be assured that they will be supplied with body lotions and hair products and other toiletries.

Small Guideline
Colour: Personally I would stick to neutral and solid colours or maybe a top or a pair of shorts with a limited pattern so that one can easily mismatch outfits without worrying about the colours and the patterns of the whole outfit but everyone has his/her own taste.

Fabric/ material of the clothing : If it’s summer time stick with light fabric which dry easily and if it’s winter time layering would be best but it obviously depends on the length of the trip and the temperature.
Style: Something which is appropriate for different settings: hiking, beach, cities, restaurants
Bag: depends on the length of the trip but remember to travel light always so plan everything before!

Shoes: take two or maybe three different shoe styles for example running shoes and sandals in summer

That is the end of this blog post! I hope that you guys like it J Get excited for another blog post which will be heading your way next Sunday.
Love,
Sherxoxo

How To Plan A Vacation

Hey dolls I hope that you are all doing really well and that you are enjoying the summer holidays. As some of you may know Sher and I are leaving today to go on a trip to Italy with another friend of ours so I thought it would be a good idea to share with you some tips when planning to go on holiday. This is our first time travelling alone so we did have some struggles along the way and this is why I wanted to share some of these tips with you guys.

Start saving money

If you know that you are going to go on holiday at some point it is important to save up, as flights, hotels and expenses can be quite costly especially in the summer time.

Decide who you want to travel with

I know for sure that Sher and I struggled when it comes to this as we didn't want to leave anybody out and at the same time we wanted to stick with a smaller group to reduce complications.

Choose where you want to go

We went full circle when we started off by choosing Italy, then chose another million places before going back to the original idea. Discuss with your friends which places you would like to visit or it is also a good idea if everyone made a list of places they want to go to and then meeting up to make a choice together.

Pick a date

Discuss during which time of the year you are going to be travelling and for how long.

Book a flight and hotel

Start searching for a flight and choose which airline you are going to be using. When looking for a hotel find an easily accessible one, and if you know that you are going to need to use trains and buses when you are there you might want to find a hotel not too far from the station.

How will you be spending your days

If relaxing is your main aim you might not want to plan out your days. On the other hand if you are looking to do alot of sightseeing and wanting to visit lots of places it is good to see what you might want to do or where you want to go on each day.

How to get around

Once you've established where you want to visit print out some maps, see how you are going to get there and take a copy of everything with you.

Make a list of things you need to pack

Like this you can be sure that haven't left anything behind you.

I hope that you found this post helpful. Stay tuned for more vacation posts soon as we have something very exciting coming up next week, and I'll talk to you guys next time.

Xoxo,
Fran

Hair Tips

Hello dolls I hope that you are all well . Sorry for skipping last week’s post,  I was on a short holiday with friends and when I came back my results arrived so yes it has been quite a busy week. In today’s blog post I will be sharing with you guys five great hair tips .

You might have heard  this many times by your hairdresser or a family member to not over wash your hair but why is that? The reason behind this is that any regular shampoo contains these cleaning properties which if used too much can strip off your hair’s natural oils which will result to greasy hair due to the extra release of sebum. Hence to conclude, washing your hair twice or three times in a week is more than enough ( maximum  to be precise ) ;)

Try as much as possible to avoid using excessive heat from hairdryers to dry your hair but allow it to dry naturally. If you do not have enough time to let it dry, at least use a warm setting instead of the hot setting.  Immoderate amounts of heat from hair appliances can damage the hair cuticles, making your hair very unhealthy as it becomes very dry and brittle.

If you do frequently blow-dry your hair or if you do use any chemical treatments it would be ideal if you do apply a hair treatment at least once a week. One can either buy a specific hair product or else you can use such ingredients like : coconut oil, shea butter, aloe vera and other oils recommended by your hairdresser. I personally do not blow-dry my hair that much , very rarely  to say the truth and I avoid extra chemical treatments but I still pamper my hair with coconut oil, mostly in the summer time and it truly does work wonders.

When applying shampoo to your scalp, do not be rough but massage very gently . Massaging your scalp very gently will 1) stimulate circulation and 2) will remove dead skin cells which will prevent your hair from getting any dandruff leading to dry and dull hair.

Last and not least the best way to brush your hair is by first brushing the ends to remove any tangles and then start from the roots of your hair downwards to the ends. This will help your natural oil to spread throughout your hair and will thus prevent breakage.
I hope that you guys liked these hair tips and that you found them interesting . Get excited for a travel blog soon by both , Fran and I . See you guys soon

Sherxoxo

HUGE MakeUp and Beauty Products HAUL | Part 2

Hey dolls, I hope that you are doing well. I am going to be doing part 2 of my collective haul. I did part 1 quite a while back, but if you haven't seen it make sure to check that out too. I have been meaning to continue this haul series but have been busy posting other content instead.
In this part of the haul I'm going to be sharing with you some of the makeup products I got at the end of May and also some stuff I just bought this week. I've tried out everything that I am showing you today except for the NYX makeup so I can also give you a bit of a review to go along.

I am first going to start by showing you two drugstore products.
The first one is the W7 skinfresh concealer in the shade Fair. I ran out of one of my concealers and bought this to replace it. Honestly I didn't think I was going to like it, but it is actually pretty good.

I then picked up the L'Oreal 4D Lash Architect Mascara. I got the waterproof version and I fell in love with this product. I love the applicator and the way my eyelashes look when I use it.

I also got a product from Pixi. I needed a new setting spray and so I decided to give the glow mist a go. I love it's multipurpose use- you can use it before applying makeup, after to set it, as well as throughout the day. I sadly forgot to mention this in my June favorites

From kylie cosmetics I've been using the lipgloss in the shade literally. If you saw my June favorites you will know that I really love this gloss.

From NYX I got the baked eyeshadow in the shade Mademoiselle. To me it looks like a plum-brown shade when I swatched it.

Next I got the skinny mascara, and look at how different the brush is. It's so tiny and precise.

Lastly I got two roll on shimmers because I have nothing like this in my collection. I got them in the shades Platinum and Salmon

The next products are all from bh cosmetics.

Carli Bybel Palette
I also mentioned this palette in my June favorites. I love how wearable and pigmented the colors are plus it is at such a good price. And Carli is one of my favorite youtubers.

120 colour eyeshadow palette Fifth Edition
They have a number of editions of this palette all with varying colors and shades, but I thought the fifth one had the most wearable shades and so I can get more use out of it.

Liquid Lipstick - Clara
I am so glad I got this. It was actually the first matte liquid lipstick that I purchased and the shade is beautiful, it is very long lasting and not drying on the lips.

Smooth Canvas Eye Primer - Malt
I think this primer is a definite must have as I've seen such a difference in how my eyeshadow looks since I've been using it.

Solid Brush Cleaner
I didn't think it would work that well but I have found it so useful when I need to switch shades or want to give my brushes a very quick clean up.
This though is not a replacement to washing your brushes.

Studio Pro Contour Palette
It has a number of different contour shades so you are sure to find a great one for whatever skin tone you have. I personally use mostly the first shade in the second row and the banana shade in the first row.

Liquid Eyeliner
This is actually a pen liner and it is very precise and easy to use

And lastly from bh I bought two brushes - an angled eyeliner brush and a tapered blending brush that have really good quality.

That concludes this part of the haul. I hope you enjoyed this post and that you got some inspiration for your next makeup shopping trip. I'll talk to you next time!
Xoxo,
Fran

10 Make up tips

Hello guys I hope that you are all doing well ! Time is passing by so quickly, I still cannot believe that we are already in the month of July ! Get excited for a travel post in the end of July !! I On the contrary  In today’s blog post I will be sharing with you guys 10 make up tips which I have found very useful and surely do make a huge difference

White base

The first make up tip is to always use a white base to make the other eye shadow colours to pop. The colours will magically appear vibrant and will stick out more. One can either use a white eye shadow or a white jumbo pencil to go over the entire  eye lid.

Eyelashes

First start off by curling your lashes with a curler than apply a small amount of powder with a small blending brush on to the top and bottom of your eyelashes. Apply two coats of mascara on both top and bottom side of your eyelashes and wait for about 3 minutes, otherwise they can tend to become clumpy. It is very important to use the mascara wand well, by moving it back and forth while going up ! For any gaps in between the eyelashes one could easily use a liquid eyeliner to fill them in or by using the tip of the wand .

Re using your mascara wands

Instead of throwing them away when they are finished why don’t you wash them well and use them for another purpose ? The wands can be easily be used as eyebrow brushes, to apply a bit of eye shadow before applying across the brows or to keep your eyebrows in place, spray some hairspray on the wand.

Primer or moisturizer

Using a primer before applying a powder foundation will help you get better coverage !! However moisturizers usually contain an ingredient called glycerin or something similar to it which will make your make up stick better to your skin. Using a moistorizer will also help your foundation blend out more easily .

Make eyes appear bigger

To make your eyes appear bigger, instead of lining your water line with a dark eyeliner, use a nude pencil or a white pencil to create the illusion of a bigger eye. It really does make a difference !  A white liner opens up the eyes the most in comparison with the nude liner.

Matching your foundation

Sadly if one buys the wrong colour of the foundation and does everything right, it will still look not as good because the foundation colour makes a huge difference. One can eliminate this mistake by testing the foundation to one’s neck since it isn’t exposed to the sun as much as your face to identify the perfect matching colour.

Bronzer glow

To get a healthy bronze glow it is important to sweep the bronzer on your temples, along the sides of the face and right under the cheekbones, in a few words sweep the bronzer in an E formation

Highlighter

Always use highlighter before foundation because the glow of the highlighter will
look more natural. Try it out

Lip liner
Instead of lining your lips first, line them last because it will make the shape of your lips more perfect.

Pencil eyeliner

To stop the eyeliner from smudging apply some powder eye shadow on the eyelid with a blending brush . This will help the eyeliner pencil to remain in place.

I hope that you guys like these make up tips and found them useful and interesting to note ;) I will see you guys next week

Sherxoxo

June Favorites

Hey guys, today I am finally back with a favorites post. I haven't done one of these in so long, so I'm super excited to share with you some of the things that I have been loving this past month.

Beauty

Kylie Cosmetics Lip Gloss - Literally

I find this to be perfect for any look as it goes with everything and I have been using it non stop this last month or so.

Carli Bybel Palette

This palette is super pigmented and all the colors are ones which I reach out for alot as they are mainly bronzey and plum shades. They are insanely pigmented as are the highlights. My favorite highlight shades would definitely have to be the first 2.

bh Cosmetics Smooth Canvas Eye Primer

I got this in the shade Malt and I am so happy with it. I can totally see a difference with how my eyeshadow looks. A definite must have!

Victoria's Secret Passion Struck Hand and Body Cream

This lotion smells so amazing, and it is super hydrating. Even the packaging is really gorgeous.

Fashion

Spaghetti String Crop Tops

These kinds of tops have been my go to for sure this month. They go with so many outfits and they are super comfortable and easy to wear.

White Heels

I love these classic white pumps. I think they look very classy and elegant. I got these from a local store but I'm sure there are a ton of similar ones in many other store as they are quite basic.

Food

I don't know if smoothies actually count as 'food' but I have been having so many smoothies lately. They are filling, healthy, and refreshing - so basically perfect for the summertime.

TV Show

I rediscovered a show that I used to watch back when I was really young - Xena Warrior Princess. I used to be obsessed with the show and was always mesmerised by the courage and love shown in this show, not to mention the fact that Lucy Lawless is friggin gorgeous. I heard a song which reminded me of the show so I had to watch it again. It will always be one of my favorites.

Music

Four of the songs which I have been listening to non stop are:

The Chainsmokers - Don't Let Me Down ft. Daya
Kill Em With Kindness - Selena Gomez
Into You - Ariana Grande
Mama Said - Lukas Graham

What are some of your favorites? Let me know in the comments below. I hope you enjoyed this post and I will talk you guys next time.

xoxo,
Fran
